How solving the problems of the homeless can become a turning point in the development of our civilization

Existing technologies promise limitless possibilities, including in the field of construction. However, according to a UN report, in 2020 there were approximately 100 million people without a roof over their heads in the world, and another 1.6 billion people worldwide live in unacceptable conditions.

It is obvious that the existing rules of life do not allow many people to buy a decent place to live, which in turn creates a lot of other social problems. It turns out that there is a great need and there are technologies and resources to eliminate it – but the existing conditions of interaction in society do not allow this to happen.

In transitioning to a resource-oriented economy (RBE), resolving homelessness could serve as a potent catalyst for unprecedented global economic growth. Collaborative efforts between the World Bank and the United Nations could pave the way for remarkable advancements in all world economies. A comprehensive program aimed at providing comfortable housing for all inhabitants of the planet would generate numerous employment opportunities. Even during the construction phase, this initiative would boost income levels and elevate living standards, thereby positively impacting the global economy. Moreover, increased employment rates would likely lead to a reduction in crime levels.

A global solution to some problems will solve many others.

A global solution to certain problems can effectively address many others. In the context of a resource-oriented economy (RBE), the construction of smart cities emerges as a promising approach that tackles not only housing issues but also a range of other challenges. By promoting responsible resource consumption, RBE emphasizes efficient and sustainable resource utilization, thus addressing environmental concerns.

The development of housing integrated with nature, featuring green roofs and vertical gardens, not only enhances residents’ quality of life but also contributes to biodiversity preservation.

Conclusion

Modern and ecologically conscious housing, constructed in alignment with the principles of RBE, holds promise as a tangible solution to the challenge of homelessness. The transition to RBE has the potential to serve as a catalyst for global economic advancement. However, realizing this vision necessitates a comprehensive reevaluation of how we approach the construction, distribution, and utilization of housing. It requires fundamental shifts in social and economic systems to ensure that every individual not only has a roof over their head but also enjoys a full and comfortable home.

As a non-profit organization, we have committed ourselves to an ambitious endeavor: to visually illustrate how the transition to RBE in the near future can positively impact global conditions and the lives of all inhabitants of our planet.

Our main project is a feature film that will showcase the implementation of ROE principles. Through a series of positive, real-life events, the film will demonstrate how these principles can create conditions for a future that benefits everyone. It will explore how existing technologies can help humanity address issues like wars, poverty, and crime, benefiting both those in power and ordinary people.

It is a well-known fact that what can be seen can be realized.
